Sentence and Micro-level revisions
Is every sentence clear, concise, and to the point?
Are you telling the reader and not showing?
Are you using passive instead of active voice in your writing?
Do your sentences vary in structure?
Is every sentence engaging?
Is the mechanical structure of your sentences sound?
Do grammatical errors, spelling mistakes, run-on sentences, clichés, or fragments exist?
Can your word choice be altered to improve readability?
Secondary Edit
Once your first edit is complete, a second member of our editing team will re-read the initial essay, editor critique, and editor re-write. If there are any changes that this secondary
editor feels are essential in maintaining the integrity of the essay, then they will be integrated within your revision.
